IF NOT SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, THE “REMARKS” COLUMN CAN ALSO BE USED FOR SPECIFYING REQUIRED OPERATIONAL TOLERANCES. > +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++%% ## Table 01 79 13-A, Required Demonstration Testing | Name of System or Principal Equipment to be Demonstration-Tested | Appurtenant or Associated Systems or Equipment[^1] | Demonstration Testing Minimum Duration (days) | Systems or Equipment to be Tested Concurrently with this System[^2] | Remarks | | ---------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------- | | IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Pumping System | P-FE-01 thru 06 and associated strainers | 1 | | | | TSFE Treatment System | FCV-971712, Filter 01, Filter 02 | 2 | IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Pumping System | | | TSFE Pumping System | P-LPSW-01 thru 3, FCV 971761, PCV 971762 | 1 | | | | Dolphin Shoals Outfall (DSO) Pumps | P-SO2CW1&2 and associated strainers, Dechlorination Facility Break Tank | 1 | | | ## Exhibit 1 - Planned Testing Narrative This document has been prepared to provide overall guidance and intent for the performance of the Functional Testing specified in this section. As specified, the Demonstration Testing Plan will contain detailed procedures and requirements that expand upon the information presented herein. 1. IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Pump Station a. Contractor to provide temporary piping , with an appropriate throttling valve, from new vault for a future service to opening for future pump 7 or 8, located in IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Pump Station. Contractor to provide valves, restraints, protection, etc as needed. b. During testing, the following shall apply; 1) Water pumped during testing will be discharged back to Secondary Effluent Conduit. 2) Flows shall be measured by FE 971003 or FE 971001. 3) Pressures shall be measured by PI 971004 and PI 971002. 4) Power shall be measured using digital power meters in appropriate switch gear bucket. 5) Temporary throttling valve shall be used to provide back pressure to simulate design conditions. c. The following conditions shall be tested: 1) Two pumps selected by EPIC WATER AUTHORITY, tested alone ![[01 79 13_Planned Testing Narrative_1.png]] ![[01 79 13_Planned Testing Narrative_2.png]] 2. IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Treatment System a. For this test, temporary piping for IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Pump Station shall be in place and one pump shall be operating. b. During testing, the following shall apply; 1) Flow during this test shall be allowed to overflow Filtered Water Storage Tank to plant drain. 2) Flows shall be measured by FE 971752. 3) Contractor shall collect samples upstream and downstream of filters every hour during the test. Samples shall be laboratory analyzed for TSS and turbidity. c. The following conditions shall be tested: 1) One of the two filters shall be selected by EPIC WATER AUTHORITY for testing. 2) Test shall be performed at design flows and conditions. 3. TSFE/SW Pumping System a. For this test, Contractor may choose to use IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Pumping System and IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Treatment System to supply flow to Filtered Water Storage Tank. Alternatively, Contractor may use Potable Water through FCV 971761 for test water. b. Contractor shall provide temporary piping and temporary backpressure valve to carry test water to return to Filtered Water Storage Tank. See figure. c. During testing, the following shall apply; 1) Flow shall be measured by FE 971782. 2) Pressure shall be measured at PI 971783. 3) Power shall be measured at associated VFD. d. The following conditions shall be tested; 1) One pump operating at design conditions 2) Two pumps operating at design conditions 4. DS Pumps a. The following test shall be closely coordinated with Maintenance of Plant Operations plan and [[Section 01 14 16]]. Testing of DS pumps shall be completed prior to placing SO2 Booster Pumps in operation. b. During testing, the following shall apply; 1) Flow shall be measured by FE 980935. 2) Pressure shall be measured at PI 980930 or 980928. 3) Power shall be measured via portable/temporary instruments. c. The following conditions shall be tested; 1) One pump operating [^1]: The appurtenant or associated systems or equipment listed in this column may not completely name all systems or equipment associated with the operation of the principal system or equipment being demonstration-tested. Demonstration-test all appurtenant systems and equipment associated with the principal system or equipment, when the appurtenant system or equipment is required for operation of the principal system or equipment being demonstration-tested. [^2]: Demonstration-test all appurtenant systems and equipment associated with the principal system or equipment being demonstration-tested and the additional systems or equipment listed in this column.
